Privacy Policy
veloSnap ("the app") is a sound-triggered camera utility for iPhone. This policy describes how the app handles information. It is maintained by the developer and is intended to be plain and short.
Summary
veloSnap has no account system, no backend, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no session replay, no crash reporting SDK, and no third-party telemetry SDK. The App Store privacy declaration we target is Data Not Collected, subject to a dependency, runtime network, and privacy-report audit before each release.
The app does communicate over the direct local network between your iPhone and your camera. That is how camera control and live view work.
Microphone
Microphone samples are analyzed in memory for sound level and threshold crossings while you are monitoring or armed. Microphone audio is not recorded, saved, or transmitted by veloSnap.
Camera and live view
Camera control and live-view data travel over the direct local network between the iPhone and the camera. Live-view frames are used in memory and are not uploaded or saved by veloSnap.
Event list
The visible event list is held in memory, capped at 500 entries, and intentionally disappears when the app process ends.
Camera Wi-Fi credentials
Camera Wi-Fi credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. They may be shared with future velo-family apps from the same developer through the locked Keychain access group. They are not uploaded.
Forget Camera removes the shared saved credentials and the managed camera-network configuration from the developer's velo apps on that device. If you want saved Keychain credentials explicitly removed, use Forget Camera before uninstalling the app.
Diagnostics
Internal diagnostics are bounded, local, and redacted. There is no automatic upload and no customer diagnostics-sharing feature in version 1.0.
Permissions and purposes
- Camera. Scanning the camera's connection code.
- Microphone. Sound detection for the trigger.
- Local Network and Wi-Fi capabilities. Connecting to and controlling the camera.
External links
Tapping website, support, or privacy links in the app opens an external web destination at your request.
Apple platform services
Apple may separately receive App Store, TestFlight, crash, or performance information under your Apple settings and Apple's own policies. That is not collection by the developer of veloSnap.
Children
veloSnap is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
